Youth setlist at River CC

Fun set for the youth at River Community Church.

November 9 at Mt. Bethel

Cool set today.  They rocked out “Typical” pre-service (sort of), then went into the main set.  It was good way to make sure everyone was awake!

This morning at Mt. Bethel

Good set today.  I wasn’t sure how well it’d flow, but it worked quite well.

Looks like it was a good service at Grace CC

Matt Odegaard’s set at the Sojourn service this past Sunday at Grace CC:

Yesterday at Mt. Bethel

Nic and the band played a pretty good set.  Here’s what it was:

Mt. Bethel Sept 21st

sunday’s set looks like this

Come to the Cross    Smith

Beautiful News    Redman

Everlasting God      Brenton Brown

Revelation Song    Riddle

Uncreated One      Tomlin

If you haven’t done revelation song yet, do it.  It’s an amazing song and very simple.

Nic

This week at Mt. Bethel

Here what Nic will be playing this week at Mt. Bethel’s Encounter service.

  • We Shine – Steve Fee
  • God of This City – Chris Tomlin
  • Beautiful One – Tim Hughes
  • Shine – Matt Redman
  • Mighty is the Power of the Cross – Chris Tomlin

This week at Johnson Ferry

Our friends down the street at Johnson Ferry Baptist have posted their setlists for the week.  They have a couple of blended and contemporary services, but here are most of the songs they’ll be playing:

  • Happy Day – Tim Hughes
  • Love the Lord – Lincoln Brewster
  • Mighty to Save – Hillsong
  • Blessed Be Your Name – Matt Redman
  • Let the Praises Ring – Lincoln Brewster
  • Everlasting God – Chris Tomlin

Last week’s set at River CC in Baton Rouge

Conner Byrd’s set last week at River Community Church:

  • Everlasting God – Brenton Brown (Lincoln Brewster style)
  • Holy is the Lord – Chris Tomlin
  • Blessed Be Your Name – Matt Redman
  • Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone) – Chris Tomlin
Conner wrote up a lengthy blog entry about the set, which is well worth reading.  He gives great detail about the pace of the set and the style with which the songs were played.  Very good way to get some fresh ideas.

Last Sunday at Grace CC

Matt Odegaard’s set at the Sojourn service last Sunday at Grace CC:

  • For Who You Are – Hillsong
  • Hungry – Kathryn Scott
  • Everlasting God – Brenton Brown
  • How Great is Our God / How Great Thou Art – Chris Tomlin / Traditional
I’ve heard the “How Great is Our God / How Great Thou Art” combo before, though I don’t know if it was in our service or not.  In any case, it tends to work pretty well — the songs really fit together nicely.
